As a Geriatrics Medicine Fellow at Baystate Medical Center you will be exposed to enthusiastic faculty with an innovative approach to Geriatrics Medicine. The Geriatrics Medicine Track is a unique and novel approach to promoting careers and enhancing skills and knowledge in geriatrics medicine among Internal Medicine Residents. Geriatrics Medicine Fellows will have an integral role within the Track as mentors and teachers for residents with a strong interest in geriatrics medicine. Geriatrics Medicine Fellows also present at several Noon Conferences and at the annual Resident’s Geriatrics Grand Rounds. One of the greatest assets to training in Baystate Medical Center’s Geriatrics Medicine Fellowship Program is the interdisciplinary nature of our teaching. We are fortunate to have several disciplines, such as physiatry and gynecology, involved in training our Geriatrics Medicine Fellows, in addition to institution and community based fellowship- trained geriatricians. As a result, our Geriatrics Medicine Fellows experience a broad spectrum of approaches to caring for older adults and have variety of choices when considering scholarly activities. We are proud to share in Baystate Medical Center’s national reputation for, and long-standing commitment to medical education. We invite you to consider our Geriatrics Medicine Fellowship Program to determine if it best fits your career goals. Facts about the program:
