The Baystate Medical Center/Tufts University School of Medicine Hematology-Oncology Fellowship Program is an integrated program that meets all requirements for dual certification in both Hematology and Oncology.
Dual certification with high board pass rate in both Hematology and Oncology is accomplished over a three year training period.
The program is accredited by the Residency Review Committee for Internal Medicine as providing excellence in subspecialty training.
Program Highlights

Extensive and diverse clinical training at the D’Amour Center for Cancer Care (DCCC), a part of the Baystate Regional Cancer Program

Multidisciplinary approach to treating cancer includes working with radiation oncology and surgery

Fellows have academic appointments with Tufts University School of Medicine and teach medical students and residents especially on the popular Hematology elective

Fellows develop their own research projects, participate in clinical trials and have opportunities for translational research at the Pioneer Valley Life Sciences Institute

Training includes experience in Cancer Pharmacology, Breast Disease, Cancer Genetics, and Geriatrics
-
Program participates in national Quality Oncology Performance Improvement.
