A Clinically-oriented and Fellow-friendly Program

The Infectious Diseases (I.D.) subspecialty fellowship at Baystate Medical Center has been continuously operative since 1985. This fellowship is available to those who have completed a three-year ACGME accredited program in internal medicine or a medicine/pediatric program.

We Provide Fellows with Comprehensive Training in the Practice of Infectious Diseases.

Fellows are trained by eleven readily-accessible faculty in:

  • clinical infectious diseases

  • microbiology (bacteriology, mycology, mycobacteriology, serology, and virology)

  • clinical research

  • infection control/hospital epidemiology.
