Anesthesiology Fellowships

Pain Management Fellowship

The Department of Anesthesiology at Baystate Medical Center offers a one year Pain Management Fellowship for Board eligible or certified anesthesiologists. There are 3 fellowship positions available.

2007-2008 Fellows

  • Ritu  Atam, MD: Maulanan Azad Medical College, Delhi University, India

  • Robin Burn-Lambert, MD: Saba University School of Medicine, Netherland-Antilles

  • Nita Grover, MD: Tufts University School of Medicine, Boston, MA

2007 Graduate

  • Ravi Tamerisa, MD: St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital, Houston, TX

Summary

Fellows are exposed to a broad range of invasive and non-invasive treatments for chronic and acute pain in a multidisciplinary setting which involves rehabilitation, psychology and medical managment. There is an active spinal implant program.


Approximately 10,000 patients per year are seen in the pain management center. There are 8 full time pain attendings. The clinic is a 2000 sq ft fully equipped facility with on-site fluoroscopy.
