Clinical Neurology

The rotation will be divided into four one-week blocks.
Each week will be devoted to a different group of topics in
neurology and be precepted by a neurologist who has special
interest and expertise in those areas.
Outpatient experience will vary from week to week and take place
in the offices of several teaching neurologists. Focused
reading material and clinical exercises will be assigned.
In addition, there will be several lectures and/or case conferences
weekly in order to ensure introduction of the student to a broad
range of neurological disorders. Examination techniques
and the significance of physical findings will be stressed.
Routine inpatient consultations will not be emphasized, but
cases of particular neurological interest and educational value
may be assigned. The student will attend neuroradiology
and neuropathology conferences several times during the rotation.
