Subinternship in Pediatrics

This clinical clerkship is based on the pediatric inpatient service at Baystate Medical Center .  The pediatric floor is a 50-bed unit that cares for children of all ages with a wide range of problems.  The student on this rotation is assigned to one of four inpatient teams and generally works as an "intern" under a supervisory resident.  Students are expected to take call with their teams every fourth night and a sleeping room is available on the pediatric floor.

Students will be required to be on call every fourth night including weekends.
