ANNOUNCEMENTS Dr. Bellantonio has been the recipient of many honors for excellence in clinical care and teaching, including the Geriatric Academic Career Award from the Health Resources Service Administration. In addition, the Department of Health and Human Services awarded her the Claude D. Pepper Older American Independence Center Research Development Award. The American Board of Pathologists (ABP) announced that Chris Otis, MD, Director of Surgical Pathology, has been named to an ABP Committee to evaluate content specifications for the Maintenance of Certification (MOC) examination in Anatomic Pathology. These content specifications form the basis of the portion of the MOC examination that covers new information and developments in the practice of pathology. On January 3, 2007 Dr. Heather Sankey was one of 20 scholars inducted into the 2007-2008 class of the APGO/Solvay Pharmaceuticals Educational Scholars Development Program. Dr. Sankey was selected by the Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics (APGO) from a competitive nationwide pool of applicants based on her professional credentials and demonstrated commitment to women’s health education. She has been practicing in the community for 14 years, and is serving her third year as Ob-Gyn Residency Program Director. The rigorous 15-month program trains top physician faculty in: curriculum and instruction; measurement and evaluation; research and statistics; and leadership and management, to enable them to become outstanding educators and administrators in obstetrics and gynecology. Research Week is Tuesday, May 22 — Thursday, May 24. The collection of work accomplished by our residents and fellows will be displayed throughout the Chestnut Conference Center. Please plan on visiting to discover the breadth of scholarly contributions our residents and fellows are making to the field of medicine. Baystate Medical Center's three cardiology fellowships were re-accredited for 3 years by the Residency Review Committee for Internal Medicine. The re-accreditation was the follow-up to the program's March 2006 site visit. The fellowship programs and program directors are:

The Tufts University School of Medicine Compassionate Care project's Advisory Group is multi-disciplinary and representative of their affiliated hospitals.
