Radiology Residents Excel in Qualifying Exam Their Success Puts Baystate at #15 of 201 Radiology Residencies in US & Canada In most disciplines, residents take their initial qualifying examination after completing their residency. Radiology residents, however, must pass separate written examinations in physics and diagnostic radiology during their residency in order to qualify for the oral board examination in diagnostic radiology.
Three of Baystate's radiology residents took the diagnostic radiology written examination this September. Not only did all 3 Baystate residents pass, their scores ranked Baystate's radiology training program 15th of the 201 radiology training programs in the United States and Canada. Congratulations to Drs. Robert DeFlorio, Sunah Kim, and Devang Doshi! "These residents have worked extremely hard both in the hospital and at home to achieve this level of success," asserts Stephen O'Connor MD, Radiology Residency Program Director. Teresa Lalli is the program coordinator; Steve Lee MD and Eugene Kang MD serve as Associate Program Directors.
