Regularly Schedulued Meetings with Baystate's Designated Institutional Official for Graduate Medical Education Twice each year Dr. Jenson, Designated Institutional Official for graduate medical education at Baystate, will hold a meeting for the residents of each of our 9 residency programs. At least once each year, he will meet with fellows of each of our fellowships. In addition to these scheduled meetings, Dr. Jenson remains available at any time to meet with any program, group of residents, or individual resident about any concern.
Resident & Fellow Forums with the DIO and GMEC Leadership Dr. Jenson and the leadership of the GMEC (Dr. Ron Burkman, GMEC Chair and Dr. Hinchey, GMEC Vice-Chair) will meet twice with all residents in an open forum and twice with all fellows in an open forum. These forums provide an opportunity for all residents and fellows to address timely issues such as the master facilities plan, impact of the demolition of the Porter Building, resident/fellow work space and sleep space, parking and security, meal tickets and any other concerns. All residents should attend the Resident Open Forums, and all fellows should attend the Fellow Open Forums. To maximize attendance, the Division of Academic Affairs has scheduled the Forums at times that are least disruptive to the Programs. Other events for residents and fellows should be canceled, or they should be excused from those events, so that all residents and fellows can attend the Forums. Each of these Forums will be held twice each year, in April and October. April Forums First Resident Open Forum 4:00 - 5:00 pm Location: TBA All residents should attend. First Fellows Open Forum Wednesday, April 11 noon - 1:00 pm (with lunch) Location: TBA All fellows should attend. October Forums Resident Open Forum October 17 noon - 1:00 pm (with lunch) Fellows Open Forum October 18 4:00 - 5:00 pm Gameshow Pro 3 is an educational software program incorporating audience responses that you can use to produce a fun, interactive learning presentation customized to your audience, content and objectives.
