ANNOUNCEMENTS Dr. Halista has been an active clinician-educator for Baystate's residency programs in the Rheumatology Clinic at High Street, and previously served as Chief of the Department of Medicine at Westover Air Reserve Base. After receiving his undergraduate and medical school degrees from the combined Pennsylvania State University/Jefferson Medical College program, he completed residency training in medicine at the Medical Center of Delaware and fellowship training in rheumatology at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Dr. Halista is Board certified in internal medicine, rheumatology, and clinical bone densitometry. Emily Weber LeBrun, fourth year Obstetrics-Gynecology resident, was presented with the Ronald T. Burkman, MD Resident Award for innovation in research at the Ob-Gyn graduation banquet on June 27th. Her project is titled "Can We Use A Catheter To Do The QTip Test?"
Kristin L. Dardano MD, Chief of the General Obstetrics-Gynecology Division, Receives Award for Excellence in Teaching The Tufts University School of Medicine Class of 2007 presented this award to Dr. Dardano to commend her for demonstrating a sincere concern for students, her ability to share knowledge effectively, and for having a manner that inspired by example.
