at Baystate Children's Hospital and He has also been appointed Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Tufts University School of Medicine. Dr. Grewal is sub-board certified in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology. Before joining Baystate Medical Center in 2005, Dr. Grewal was on the faculty of the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Minnesota, where he had been a pediatric blood and marrow fellow. After receiving his medical degree and pediatrics training at the Maulana Azad Medical College, University of Delhi, he became Chief Resident in pediatrics at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. Dr. Grewal also had fellowship training in hematology-oncology at Washington University and St. Louis Children's Hospital. Here at Baystate, he has been developing the "Late Effects Clinic", which focuses on after-cancer care and evaluating the long-term consequences of cancer treatment on the health and life of survivors of childhood malignancies. Dr. Doshi is one of only 35 residents nationally to be chosen to participate in the first year of SARRAD's program, which will be held in Denver, Colorado during the 55th Annual Meeting of the Association of University Radiologists (AUR). The SARRAD Program is a new initiative that provides focused mentorship, leadership, and academic development activities to a group of high-potential radiology residents to better prepare for their transition into successful careers as leaders in academic radiology. Siemens provides an educational stipend to Baystate Medical Center to support travel and meeting expenses. Scholarship in Education All faculty are invited to attend this special presentation on March 13th by Janet Hafler, EdD, Dean for Educational Development at Tufts University School of Medicine. Postdoctoral Research Fellowship A post-doctoral research fellowship is available at PVLSI, a collaboration between Baystate Medical Center and the University of Massachusetts- Amherst. Description The themes of the research position are temperature homeostasis, thermogenesis and energy balance. The project involves whole animal physiology and biochemistry, as well as molecular biology of genes involved in temperature homeostasis and energy balance. Studies entail the phenotypic characterization of various existing transgenic mouse models and the creation of additional models by rescuing certain genes expression in a tissue-specific manner as well as tissue-selective knockin and knockout experiments.
