Baystate Becomes Official Satellite Testing Site for National Board of Medical Examiners
First Mini-Board Exams Were Administered on February 9, 2007

As an official satellite testing site, Baystate is able to administer the National Board of Medical Examiners subject exams to third year students from Tufts University School of Medicine.

Up to 32 Tufts Medical School students spend their entire third year in Springfield completing all of their core clinical rotations at Baystate. Until recently, students needed to travel to Boston at the end of their clerkship for NBME subject examinations. The inconvenience of the 90 mile drive, weather issues and overnight lodging has been eliminated now that they are able to take these exams right here at Baystate.
