ANNOUNCEMENTS Research Grant Officer Jim Johnson Retires After 22 Years at Baystate
Future Holds New Career in the Ministry Jim Johnson is leaving Academic Affairs after a 22 year career at Baystate Health in Sponsored Programs. Jim's departure from Baystate on April 30th follows an extremely productive career sheparding many research and public service grants and contracts into our system. Jim's commitment to the highest standards of professionalism in proposal writing, budget development, and regulatory compliance were a tremendous asset to Baystate Health. His unusal wit and wisdom will be sorely missed. We wish him the best in his future endeavors in the Ministry, and in his passion for the outdoors. Plans to Attend Nursing School Angela Cardona is leaving her position as the Program Coordinator for medical student education at Academic Affairs to return to school to become a nurse. Angela has been involved with medical student education over the past several years and has been responsible for coordinating the second year Physical Diagnosis course as well as the approximately 200 third- and fourth-year medical students who spend part of all of their year at Baystate. While we are saddened that Angela is leaving Academic Affairs we look forward to seeing her return to Baystate for her nursing education and eventually for her nursing career.
