Feature Richard Brown MD, Chief of Infectious Disease Division in the Department of Medicine, Awarded 2007 Weinberg Prize Honored for His Achievements During 31 Year Career at Baystate Richard Brown, MD has been selected by his peers in the academic community and previous prize recipients to receive the 2007 Weinberg Prize for his outstanding achievements in medical education in infectious disease and his contributions to the academic programs of Baystate Health. He was presented with a handsome plaque by Dr. Hal Jenson, Sr. Vice President of Academic Affairs, at the Annual Medical Staff Meeting on October 16th. Baystate Health annually awards the Weinberg Prize to a faculty members whose innovative research, publications, or leadership of a national academic organization have brought honor to Baystate Health. Tufts University School of Medicine (TUSM) Educational Strategic Planning Retreat Continuing Preparation for Revised TUSM Curriculum On October 3, 2007 at the downtown Boston campus, Tufts University School of Medicine held an Educational Strategic Planning Retreat. There was an update of MedFoundations (pre-clinical education), MedCore (clinical education, and MedExplorations (learning communities and selectives) and further work to develop the content for the new curriculum.
