Michael Rothberg MD, Department of Medicine Clinician Investigator, Joins Editorial Board of the Journal of General Internal Medicine

Dr. Michael Rothberg MD has accepted an offer to become a deputy editor at Journal of General Internal Medicine (JGIM).

Getting involved in the process of medical publication, particularly the novelty of being on the other side of the publishing relationship is something Dr. Rothberg looks forward to. " I’m sure that I will learn a lot. I am hoping it will make me a better writer and a better mentor to others," he says, adding, " I hope to make JGIM an even better journal."

Baystate Medical Center Recognized as Official Resident Chapter of American Geriatrics Society

The Resident Chapter Selection Committee voted to make Baystate one of its official resident chapters. Drs. Sandra Bellantonio and Maura Brennan, Geriatric Medicine Fellowship Program Director and Associate Director, have also been appointed co-chairs of a new AGS Education Sub-committee for resident recruitment.
