4th Annual Martin I. Broder, MD Education Day

Faculty Development: Evaluation

Time: 1:00 - 4:00 pm

Speaker: Eric S. Holmboe, MD


Dr. Holmboe, Professor Adjunct and Senior Vice President for Quality Research and Academic Affairs, Yale University School of Medicine, member of the American Board of Internal Medicine, and Adjunct Professor, Uniformed Services of the Health Sciences, will speak about the evidence-based relationship between clinical skills and high quality care.


Topics to be addressed include:

  • the current state of clinical skills among trainees

  • the current state of faculty evaluation and observation skills

  • learning to use the three new rater training techniques to improve direct observation skills.


This event is sponsored by Baystate Medical Center's Internal Medicine Residency Program, and will be facilitated by Kevin Hinchey MD, FACP, Director, Medical Residency Programs.
