Online Time & Effort Reporting

Research coordinators and Principal Investigators who work on Federal studies, or on subcontracts where the funding originated from a Federal sponsor, are required to certify the amount of time they've spent on those projects each month.

This has always been a requirement here at Baystate (and at all other research institutions), but in the past, certification was performed through a series of email exchanges.

Now, using the Time & Effort portal in the new Grant Management module of Lawson accounting software, time and effort must be entered directly online by the person performing the services or by a responsible person with firsthand knowledge of the services performed on each research agreement. This process will strengthen BMC's regulatory compliance position considerably.
