Baystate's 5th Annual Surgery Symposium Focuses on Simulated Surgical Learning Environments 3 Patient Simulation Practicums Were Featured On November 14th, the Department of Surgery and the Baystate Simulation Center and Goldberg Surgical Skills Lab hosted a day-long surgery symposium. Six guest presenters from as far as Florida, Minneapolis and Washington state spoke about aspects of incorporating simulation-based training into current educational curricula, including Dr. Tomothy Broderick from NASA's Extreme Environment Mission Operations, who talked about preparing for surgery in space.
