This Career Fair provides residents and fellows with a venue to meet prospective employers who recruit and hire physicians across the full spectrum of medical specialties and sub-specialties. There will be information about opportunities in specific fields, and about hospitals, health care systems and practice groups by geographic area. This event is open to all residents and fellows in all specialties, sub-specialties and stages of training.

This day-long conference includes oral and poster sessions highlighting the many TUSM educational projects in progress and completed, as well as a keynote presentation and afternoon workshops on evaluation strategies used in medical education research and educational research funds and resources. Learn methods of basic test item construction including the identification of basic test/assessment item types and applying the appropriate use of test item types.  Develop skills to utilize TUSK for posting a variety of on-line quizzes and tests (MCQs, fill-in, essay).  Repeat of workshop offered on February 26, 2008.

Speaker: Susan E. Hankinson, MPH, ScD


Susan E. Hankinson, MPH, ScD, Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Epidemiology at Harvard School of Public Health. Dr. Hankinson is Co-Leader of the Brigham Research Institute and is a national leader in breast and ovarian cancer. Her research focuses on lifestyle, dietary, and genetic factors as determinants of cancer in women. She is the Principal Investigator of the Nurses' Health Study.

This conference includes morning and afternoon workshops that focus on the engaged learner and the application of academic technology to enhance teaching and learning. 


The keynote, "Learning in a Clinical Setting", will be presented by LuAnn Wilkerson EdD, Professor of Medicine and Senior Associate Dean for Medical Education, David Geffen School of Medicine, UCLA.
