TUSM Office of Educational Affairs & other Faculty Development opportunities offered within the next 2 months are included on the Events page preceded by MARCH Saturday, March 1 CareerMD's Connecticut Career Fair Time: 10:00 am – 2:00 pm Location: Omni New Haven Hotel at Yale Reservations This Career Fair provides residents and fellows with a venue to meet prospective employers who recruit and hire physicians across the full spectrum of medical specialties and sub-specialties. There will be information about opportunities in specific fields, and about hospitals, health care systems and practice groups by geographic area. Location: TUSM Sackler 827 This day-long conference includes oral and poster sessions highlighting the many TUSM educational projects in progress and completed, as well as a keynote presentation and afternoon workshops on evaluation strategies used in medical education research and educational research funds and resources. Thursday, March 6 Time: 3:00 – 5:00 pm Location: TUSM Hirsh Health Sciences Library, 5th floor Computer Lab Learn methods of basic test item construction including the identification of basic test/assessment item types and applying the appropriate use of test item types. Develop skills to utilize TUSK for posting a variety of on-line quizzes and tests (MCQs, fill-in, essay). Repeat of workshop offered on February 26, 2008.
