Nominations for the 11th Annual Schwartz Center Compassionate Caregiver Award Due April 17, 2009


The prestigious Compasionate Caregiver Award recognizes those who serve as models of commitment to compassionate care. Any paid, employed caregiver, or team of caregivers, who has direct contact with patients in any setting where patients receive care in the state of Massachusetts is eligible. The winner will receive $5,000 and four finalists will receive $1,000 each. You may nominate a compassionate caregiver by using the Schwartz Center's online form.


This distinguished award honors Kenneth B. Schwartz, the Center's founder.  For more information about the award, visit the Center's website.

Abstract Submission Deadline for Research Week is Monday, April 20, 2009

NEW: Online Submission Required


Abstracts for Research Week, which takes place May 19 -22 2009, will only be accepted through the online submission form. All submisions must have IRB or IACUC approval or exemption.The deadline to submit abstracts is Monday, April 20, 2009. If you have any questions, please contact Kristi McLeod at 4-4466 or Kristi.McLeod@bhs.org.


Poster Requirements

Posters must be attached to foam board for display at Research Week. Easels will be available. A good vendor for poster printing is www.postersession.com.

Nominations for the Annual Award for Outstanding Achievements in Clinical Research Due April 20, 2009

Research Assistants, Regulatory Specialists, Coordinators and Managers Are Eligible


Submit nominations for this award by April 20, 2009 to HRPP Integrity and Education Manager, Karen Christianson, RN, CCRP. Nominations should include the name, title, division of the nominee as well as a narrative description of rationale for the nomination. Nominees will be asked to provide a current CV and other background materials as appropriate.

The award will be announced during Research Week by the Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs.
