Raj Bawa MD, Adjunct Associate Professor, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute

Nanotherapeutics can deliver active drug therapies to specific parts of the body, offering better patient outcomes while minimizing side effects. The FDA and U.S. Patent Office struggles to develop appropriate policies regarding the use of new methods of drug delivery. Dr. Bawa will discuss his experience in this area and offer valuable insights as to how this technology works and its potential to the health care industry. More information

Clinical education often relies on learning through experience in the practice of medicine. This workshop will introduce participants to models of experiential learning that describe how adults are thought to learn through experiences. Particular attention will be paid to David Kolb's theory. Practical implications for educational design and research will be addressed.
