Holiday Party's Celebration of Diversity Benefits Baystate Children's Hospital
More than 200 residents, fellows, faculty and their families attended Academic Affairs'
holiday party
which celebrated Baystate's diverse educational community with its "all around the world" theme. Food and decorations from different cultures, such as Asian, Greek, Italian, Indian and Latin American, were featured. In addition, children in attendance received hand puppets depicting children from around the world.

$1,000— which was donated to Baystate Children’s hospital, a member of Children’s Miracle Network. According to Susan Toner, philanthropic efforts like these play a critical role in bringing the best clinical programs, technology, research and staffing to Baystate.
Dr. David Longworth, Chair of the Department of Medicine, observed, "The GME Housestaff Holiday Party was a wonderful occasion of camaraderie between housestaff and faculty. We managed to raise $1,000 for a great cause and I enjoyed the opportunity to ultimately look in the mirror and see myself as a cat!" |
