Feature Lewis Cohen MD, Department of Psychiatry, Receives 2008 TUSM Distinguished Faculty Award
Dr. Lewis Cohen, Director of the Renal Palliative Care Initiative, is one of only 2 winners of the Tufts University School of Medicine's Distinguished Faculty Awards for 2008. The award recognizes faculty members who have brought distinction to themselves and to TUSM in the areas of teaching, scholarship and service. Maura Brennan and Chrsitine Bryson Among First to Be Certified in Hospice and Palliative Medicine by ABMS Of the 1454 physicians who took the first Hospice and Palliative Medicine (HPM) exam administered by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) in November 2008, about 1260 passed and achieved certification. Among them were the Department of Medicine's Christine Bryson DO, Associate Medical Director of the Hospital Medicine Program, and Maura Brennan MD, Director of Geriatric Consultation and Hospice Medical Director.
