ANNOUNCEMENTS Granting Agencies and Grant Search Engines A listing of granting agencies and grant search engines is available for Baystate researchers on eWorkplace. This listing provides information about potential sources of extramural grants to support research. The Grant Search Engines are very useful for researchers to receive regular updates on funding opportunities that are specific to your research interests. Increased Access to UpToDate with New Entryway Through CIS This new enhancement allows clinicians to search UpToDate through CIS wherever they are working. Each UpToDate research inquiry qualifies for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™. AANP, AAFP, AAP, AAPA, ACEP, ACOG, and AOA also give credit for UpToDate searches. Credits are accrued only when you access UpToDate through CIS. Internet or intranet research in UpToDate will not count for CME/CE contact hours. Accessing UpToDate Through CIS To access UpToDate through CIS, go to the Explorer Menu on the Patient Toolbar. Open the Physician Reports folder and double click on UpToDate. Enter your topic in the search box and click on the Search UpToDate button. Screenshots of this process are available on the Health Sciences Library website in the Access UpToDate through CIS tutorial. Registration is Required for Accruing CME/CE Hours
Once you are registered, UpToDate will begin to accrue your CME/CE hours. Credit is accrued automatically every time you research a question. To see how many credits you have earned, select CME on the navigation bar on the UpToDate screen. You may process your credits online and print your certificate at any time. These credits will not be automatically submitted to your Baystate Health transcript. You will need to submit these credits to your accreditation body. Privacy Information
