Baystate has a history of commitment to outstanding quality, patient safety, satisfaction, and innovative practices; BMC has been nationally recognized for advances in quality and safety, and for excellence in teaching quality improvement. Baystate's recent quality and safety initiatives are highlighted in its 2007 Quality Report.
Baystate's Division of Healthcare Quality (DHQ) has significant experience in quality and patient safety research. The Center for Quality and Safety Research (The Center) has been established to be the research arm of the DHQ and will have strong relationships with all BMC's academic departments.
